The Challenge

Engage has four main features that can help business grow and retain their customers.

  • Customer segmentation by attributes and the actions they have performed
  • Personalised messaging on multiple channels
  • Automation of marketing and the customer onboarding process
  • Provision of detailed analytics and reporting on transactional emails

Because these important features are not easy to visualise, it was important to create a website that clearly communicates the value offering of Engage to potential users.

Users also needed a detailed but easy to understand guide to help them navigate the features of Engage efficiently.

The Solution

I started in discovery, working closely with other stakeholders in the project.

I was also responsible for pair-writing clear and easy to understand content for the end-to-end journey of users.

I used feedback from user testing to ensure appropriate content is shown where needed. These were also supported with other visual formats to enrich the written content.

Detailed User Guide
I was responsible for pair writing the ‘Engage docs’ section, breaking down complex language and making them easy to understand. We designed a searchable list of guides to the features users may want to learn about. These were detailed but written in simple and clear language. The guides were also supported with appropriate content formats (images and videos) to help users understand the features.
